4. Smith & Wesson No. 2 Old Army Revolver

serial #55132, 32 rf, 6" octagon barrel with an excellent bore that shows a couple areas of roughness ahead of chamber with the balance being bright and shiny. This revolver remains in very fine original condition and has matching assembly numbers on grip frame, cylinder and barrel. The barrel retains about 90 - 95% bright original blue finish overall. The cylinder retains about 50% original blue with the areas of flaking bearing a pleasing, smooth brown patina. The frame retains 95% strong, bright original blue finish with most loss on a couple areas of backstrap and the bottom of the forestrap. The ejector pin shows a good deal of original faded color case-hardened finish remaining. The two piece walnut grips are numbered to the gun and rate excellent plus with 95% original finish remaining. The barrel hinge screw shows slight slot damage and the sideplate screw hole shows slight silvering around its edge. A very fine No. 2 Army. (14846-4) {ANTIQUE} (1800/2200) SOLD FOR $1725.00
