.50 CF, 32 5/8" barrel with an about excellent bore showing only some very minor oxidation near the muzzle. Barrel, bands and nose cap show original armory bright polish, with good oil quenched case-hardened finish on receiver and bolt handle. Top surface of bolt is still armory bright and free of oxidation. The stock rates excellent with a crisp left side cartouche, showing perhaps some very minor added linseed oil, retaining all its original very light dings, dents and handling marks. The comb line and upper tang of buttplate are both racked numbered "13". Overall an excellent example of these scarce bolt action military rifles, one of the first to be tried by the U. S. government.(3393-18) {ANTIQUE} (2000/3000) SOLD FOR $2300.00
