serial #1142, .36 cal. percussion, 7" octagon barrel with a very good plus to near excellent bore. Barrel is an overall pleasing deep plum-brown patina as is loading lever and cylinder, all exhibiting minor handling marks and very light pinprick pitting. The frame is a pleasing deep pewter gray mottled case-hardening patina, also exhibiting some very minor pinprick pitting and light impact marks. The smooth walnut grips rate very good showing perhaps an old very light cleaning with minor dings and dents from the years of use. The mechanism is fully functional however the face of the hammer has taken an impression from the nipples from years of being dry fired. The cylinder arbor retaining screw is a later replacement. A very good plus example overall. (3397-3) {ANTIQUE} (1000/1500) SOLD FOR $1380.00
