.54 Cal flint, 36" barrel with a very good plus to near excellent bore. This is an excellent quality reconversion to flint with correct U.S. inspectors and firing proofs with a tang date of 1827. Metal is a pleasing bright pewter patina with some minor oxidation most prevalent on barrel and band near muzzle. Lockplate is properly maker marked and dated 1827. Stock rates very good showing a very light cleaning and is a rich red-russet patina showing a light cartouche. There is a very minor crack from the breech to the side plate. Overall this is a nice example of the R & JD Johnson produced common rifle. (3405-3) {ANTIQUE} (1200/1800) SOLD FOR $1380.00
