20. Remington No. 7 Rolling Block Rifle

serial #300057, 22 lr., 26 1/2" part round part octagon barrel with a bright excellent bore. This rifle bears London proofs on right side of barrel and frame. The condition of this rifle is very fine, with its metal surfaces showing a lovely old restored finish likely done while the rifle was in England. The barrel retains 97% beautiful blue finish and the action retains 95% vivid color case hardened finish. The straw color on the hammer and breechblock pins along with the pin retaining plate is very strong. The checkered pistol grip buttstock and forend rate excellent with 95% original finish remaining and with strong checkering. The rifle is equipped with a Beach style combination front sight which is a globe sight in one position and a peep in the other, along with a correct tang mounted peep sight.
