serial #108706, .410 bore, 26" wide Simmons Gun Specialties ventilated rib barrel choked and marked cylinder with an excellent bore. Metal surfaces retain about 96% good quality Simmons Gun Specialties blue, the receiver now starting to tone to a purple-plum. The barrel wears an oval-post style "Simmons Gun Specialties Inc." marked rib, neither barrel nor receiver show factory proofs. The rib wears nice ivory mid-rib with orange "glow-worm" style front bead. The checkered walnut pistolgrip buttstock rates excellent showing a very nice grooved face "Winchester/trademark" ventilated recoil pad for a 14" length of pull. The skeet grade extended semi-beavertail style forearm rates excellent as well. Overall a nice 42 that has been professionally upgraded by one of the finest gunsmithing firms to specialize in Winchester pump guns, that one needn't be afraid to take afield.
