serial #20703, 30-40 Krag, 30" barrel with a bright excellent bore. Barrel retains perhaps 98% to near 99% excellent arsenal refinish blue with very minor pitting evident along the wood-line. Bands and guard retain perhaps 95%-97% excellent blue with about 97% excellent mottled gray oil-quenched casehardening on loading gate, magazine cover and receiver. The bolt body is mostly bright with excellent fire blue on extractor while the bolt handle has toned to a deep tarnished pewter patina. Stock rates excellent and is a rich red-russet hue with very few handling marks and a slightly light cartouche but with crisp firing proof. Rear sight is 1901 style with the appropriate hand guard. Includes a brass front sight protector/muzzlecap. An extremely nice example overall of an arsenal-altered 1892 Krag (3405-18) {ANTIQUE} (800/1200)
