166. Browning Model 1885 BPCR High Wall Single Shot Rifle
serial #08499NR2B7, .45-70, 30” 1/2 round 1/2 octagon barrel with excellent bore, appears unfired. The barrel retains 99% original blue finish. The case hardened receiver, grip cap and lever show beautiful rich colors. This rifle has vernier tang rear sight and globe front sight with sprit level. The oil finished checkered pistol grip stock with shadow check piece is nicely figured with shot gun butt plate. The barrel is marked “Recommended for Black Powder’” and is drilled and tapped for scope mounts. This beautiful rifle comes in the original Browning black cardboard box.
