33. Parker VH Boxlock Double Shotgun

serial #227700, 12 ga. on No. 1 1/2 frame, 30" barrels are choked improved modified and full and have bright excellent bores. This shotgun is in superb condition. The barrels retaining 98% strong original blue finish. The right tube shows an old professionally raised dent which is a minor issue. The action retains 95% strong original color case-hardened finish. The triggerguard has flaked and is mostly a gray brown patina with perhaps 10% original blue remaining. The checkered pistol grip walnut buttstock and splinter forend rate excellent plus with nearly all of their original finish remaining. Buttstock may have had some light linseed oil added at some point but is lovely. Face of recoil shields retain over 90% original color case-hardened finish, an excellent indication of how little used this beautiful Parker shotgun is. Shotgun remains very tight and has a 14 3/8" length of pull over original dog head buttplate and has drops of 1 1/2" in 2 5/8". A nice minty Parker shotgun manufactured 1928.
