serial #4472, 44 Caliber, 7 1/2" octagon barrel with an excellent bore. This is a fine revolver having all matching numbers on the barrel, cylinder, frame, and grip strap. The metal surfaces retain about 85% original high luster blue finish with one spot of light pitting on the barrel and the balance gaining a pleasing brown patina. The loading lever and hammer retain excellent original case-color mellowing slightly. The smooth walnut grips with a crisp "RPB" cartouche rate near excellent with a few very minor chips missing from the heel. Sub inspectors marks are present on nearly every part.
