Winchester 1894 Special Order Short Rifle

serial #350029, 30 WCF, 20" octagon barrel with full magazine and a bright minty bore. This little rifle is a lovely configuration with plain pistol grip and a checkered steel shotgun buttplate. The condition of the rifle is fabulous with its barrel and magazine retaining 98% strong original blue finish. The action retains 95% original blue finish with just a couple patches of very light surface oxidation and one tiny patch of very light pitting top right side of action. Fire blue on loading gate remains about 90% intact, case color on hammer and lever remains vivid. The plain walnut stocks rate excellent with 95% original finish remaining on buttstock and about 70% on forend. Rifle is equipped with a Lyman Sheard style front sight and buckhorn rear. All screw heads remain clean and unmaligned. Factory records confirm the configuration of this little rifle and show a shipment date of July, 30, 1907.
