serial #3, 32 rf, 4" barrels with very good bores. This pistol features lovely 19th-century relief floral scroll engraving on frame. The style is virtually identical to that of Nimschke's including his intertwining line borders and star motif, it is likely that this is a product of his shop. The barrels retain about 40% bright original blue finish with the balance bearing a pleasing smooth brown patina. The frame bears a lovely untouched mustard colored patina. The smooth gutta-percha grips rate excellent. Deringer comes in a neat old cigar box which has been retrofitted for the pistol including an ambrotype that we assume is of W.W. Marston and a relief carved wooden name plaque which is nicely painted in black and gold. A very fine and rare Marston deringer (2455-1) {ANTIQUE} (3000/5000) SOLD FOR $5175.00
