Engraved C.H. Ballard Single Shot Deringer

serial #364, 41 RF, 2 7/8" part round part octagon barrel with a bright excellent bore. The barrel bears proper markings and retains a pleasing silver gray patina which is smooth with all markings remaining clear and legible. The frame features relief scroll engraving on each side and retains about 70% original gold wash with brass bearing a pleasing untouched patina where finish is missing. The hammer and trigger retain a good deal of faded dark original case color. The two-piece ivory grips are original, numbered to the gun and rate excellent. A very fine little Ballard deringer.
