Lovely Engraved Sharps Model 1A Pepperbox
serial #35983, 22 rf, 2 1/2" four shot barrel cluster with very good bores. This little pepperbox features lovely loose floral scroll engraving on frame, barrel breech and muzzles. In addition to the engraving, this little pepperbox has tons of condition and a spectacular set of carved ivory grips. The frame and barrel retain 97% original silver plated finish which bears a lovely light tarnish and has only a minimal amount of bubbling which is confined mostly to the forward half of the upper right barrel. The ivory grips feature a fabulous relief carved bust of a Zouave soldier. A great little Sharps pepperbox. (2515-11) {ANTIQUE} (3000/5000) |
