U.S. Model 1863 Lindsay Double Rifle Musket
.58 caliber, 41 1/8" barrel with an excellent bore. This is a stellar example of this interesting and unusual musket. Musket bears proper markings and retains a lovely smooth even silver gray color overall. All edges of metal and wood remain sharp and crisp. Rear sight retains 95% of its original blue finish. The walnut stock rates excellent plus with 95% original finish remaining overall and just a few handling marks at wrists which appear to be from musket being hung on a wall rack. Two cartouches on left side of stock remain extremely crisp. This is just about as good an example of one of these desirable rifles once could hope to find. (2593-2) {ANTIQUE} (5000/7000) |
