Winchester Pre-'64 Model 70 Standard Rifle

serial #34749, 30-06, 24" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a lovely rifle which has 98% original blue remaining with only some very mild silvering at the muzzle, on the barrel where the rear sight used to rest, and a bit of mild fading on the bolt knob. The original rear sight has been removed and a Lyman receiver sight has been installed. The checkered walnut stock has nice, sharp points and exhibits a few scattered, very minor handling marks in the original finish. A brown leather sling is installed and the front sight hood is included. This is a beautiful 1941 made Model 70 overall which only needs a rear sight blank to be complete.
