serial #719, 220 swift, 26" barrel with an about excellent bore showing some very minor erosion at the throat. The metal surfaces on the barreled action retain about 98% original blue finish with a few spots of very minor oxidation sparsely scattered here and there. The buttplate and the bottom metal have been very nicely, professionally reblued. The classic style walnut stock rates excellent as expertly refinished, with a few scratches and abrasions, most prevalent on the left side which shows numerous small dings below the receiver. The rear sight has been removed and its seat is blank, the receiver wears a Lyman number 48 base, the sight bridge is missing. The rear receiver bridge has been drilled and tapped with two holes for scope mounting. Really a very nice early three digit model 70 from 1936. (2152-21) {C&R} (1500/2000) SOLD FOR $2645.00
