serial #156093, 33 W.C.F., 24" nickel steel round barrel with a bright excellent bore. The barrel, hammer, and receiver retain 98-99% high quality non-original hot immersion blue finish. The half length magazine tube, forend cap, dovetail slot blank, takedown collar, breechblock, and Lyman No. 38 receiver peep sight retain 96% original blue finish. The lever shows a dull gray color with nearly 50% mellowed original case colors remaining. The checkered pistol grip semi fancy walnut buttstock and forend are quality replacements which rate excellent. A factory original Winchester pistol grip cap and hard rubber buttplate are located on the buttstock along with an inlaid sterling silver monogram plate along the toe line engraved with the letter "C" within a wreath border. The factory records have no specifics on this rifle other than the fact that they manufactured a Model 1886 with this serial number and that it was shipped on 10-15-20.
