serial#1633680, 12ga., 30" ventilated rib barrel choked full with an excellent bore. The barrel and magazine tube assembly retains about 98% top-quality blue finish, the barrel exhibits a proper offset Winchester proof, however the soldering is a little rough in this area. The underside of the barrel is numbered 95412, however the magazine tube support is correctly numbered to the receiver and is correctly engraved with a pigeon. The receiver shows lovely custom engraving, each flat showing a very nice game bird vignette with a wide arabesque scroll surrounded by excellent quality tight English scroll. Left side shows waterfowl while the right side has pheasants. The matted top rounds show light sprays of foliate scroll. The receiver blue is excellent quality; the blue has been purposefully chemically cleaned on the engraved areas so they remain in-the-white with nicely shaded backgrounds. The quality of the work is excellent although it is unsigned. The checkered high gloss finish Monte Carlo stock features a rounded cheek piece with shadowline and has very nice grain figure. The extended beavertail forend has the correct checkered panels and also shows lovely grain figure. Butt rates excellent, forend about excellent.
