Winchester Model 1886 Semi-Deluxe Lightweight Takedown Rifle

serial #149493, 45-70, 22" round nickel steel barrel with a bright minty bore. This is a very nice '86 rifle. The barrel and half magazine tube retain 95% strong original blue finish. The action also retains 95% original finish with most lost due to just some light thinning on belly where there are also some striations. Case color on hammer and lever remain quite strong. The checkered pistol gripped walnut buttstock and forend rate about excellent with just a little light wear to checkering. Buttstock features its original checkered hard rubber butt plate and is adorned on the left side with a 1 1/2" round silver escutcheon which is engraved "Presented / to / T. C. Cole". Rifle features a Lyman beaded blade front sight mounted in low-profile ramp and a factory installed Lyman 21 receiver sight. It is interesting to note that there is no provision for rear barrel sight. A really nice 1886 takedown rifle. (2194-1) {C&R} (5000/7000) SOLD FOR $7475.00
