serial #735946, 12 Ga., 20” solid frame, plain barrel, choked and marked cylinder, with an excellent bore. Metal surfaces on this fine slide gun retain about 97% plus original polish blue finish, the wear being on the contact points of the magazine tube and flaking to brown on the marked portion of the action slide bar. There is perhaps the odd minor scratch here and there, there are a few widely scattered, very sparse light oxidation spots. The smooth walnut pistol grip buttstock and 18 groove forend rate about excellent with minor marks from use and handling. There is a tiny chip in the buttplate at the toe with a corresponding tiny sliver missing at the toe. A really nice ’97 manufactured in 1924.
