serial #932054, 25-20 WCF, 24" octagon barrel with half magazine and a very good bore. The barrel and magazine retain about 90% original blue finish with scattered light surface oxidation present. There is some pitting at muzzle and finish loss from cleaning but this is confined to the area ahead of the front sight. The action and take down collar retain strong traces of original blue finish in protected areas with the balance bearing a pleasing smooth, even brown patina with loss due to flaking rather than wear. The hammer and lever retain nearly 95% original blue finish and a couple frame screws are somewhat buggered. The plain walnut stocks rate very good plus retaining 75% original finish and showing light wear at normal contact points. Overall a nice honest special order 1892 takedown.
