serial #MT2389, 22 LR, 6 5/8" barrel with a bright excellent bore. This first-year production (1939) pistol remains in a very fine original condition. Metal surfaces retain 97% strong original blue finish with loss coming on high edges and with some very light thinning on mainspring housing. The original checkered walnut "elephant ear" grips with Colt medallions rate excellent. The pistol comes with its original, extremely crisp, two-tone magazine with proper base markings. The pistol is housed in its original one piece purple Colt box and includes its original manual, cleaning brushes and hang tag for Stevens adjustable rear target sight. The condition of the box is good with considerable wear on the outer edges and with top left edge flap missing along with about half of right top edge flap.
