Lovely Special Order Stevens Ideal No. 45 Range Model Rifle

serial #3454, 22 LR, 28" part round part octagon barrel with a bright excellent bore. This rifle is built on a model 44 action with special orders including factory mounted Mogg telescopic sight on original adjustable mounts fit in factory cut dovetails, 2" longer than standard barrel, full loop lever, higher than standard stock comb and special Swiss buttplate. In addition to the special features this rifle has condition and is completely honest. The barrel retains 85% evenly thinning original blue finish. The scope retains 90% original blue finish with several patches of light surface corrosion, which have been lightly cleaned and are now gray in those small areas. Top of scope is marked "L.N. MOGG / MARCELLUS NY" and is numbered on the underside at rear "375". The action and lever retain 90% strong original color casehardened finish. The walnut buttstock and forend rate excellent with 95% original finish remaining and just a few very light handling marks. The Swiss buttplate rates excellent with 95% of its original nickel plate remaining. A very handsome collector quality Stevens target rifle. (2163-1) {C&R} (2000/3000) SOLD FOR $4025.00
