serial #59130, 30-06, 24" part octagon part round fully ribbed barrel, with an excellent bore. Metal surfaces retain about 99% lovely quality restored rust blue finish. The English walnut stock features bone pistol grip cap, Schnabel style forend tip and Mauser logo buttplate with wraparound forend pattern and dual checkered panels on pistol grip. The stock rates excellent as professionally refinished. The rib is maker marked and wears a 1000 yard tangent style rear sight. The gun is equipped with a hinged floorplate and dual set triggers. A Griffin and Howe quick detachable scope mount has been professionally installed, as well as a Griffin and Howe style low scope safety. The gun wears a nice 2 1/2 X Lyman Alaskan telescopic sight with excellent optics. While the hinged floorplate is style A, the balance of the gun mirrors Mauser type B style sporters, most specifically the style no. 123.
