serial #342123, 45 Colt, 6" barrel with an as-new bore. This lovely shooting master is near-new. The gun exhibits only the faintest hint of high edge wear at the muzzle and leading edges of the cylinder. The hammer whites are vivid, checkering on trigger and the front and back straps is sharp, retaining all its original blue. The checkered walnut grips with silver Rampant Colt medallions rate excellent to as-new. Although it need not be stated, the gun locks up as tight as the day it left Hartford. The gun rides in an original purple-toned pebbled paper covered hinge-topped box with gold "shooting master" embossing. Inside is onionskin wrapper, original blued steel screwdriver, "shooting suggestions" pamphlet, "proper ammunition" insert and original cleaning brush in its paper sleeve. The inside lid is marked in pencil with the gun's serial number, caliber and barrel length. The sharp corners and edges of the box show some light scuffing and flaking, some areas of which have been lightly repaired. Manufactured 1937.
