serial #103113, 22 hornet, 26" sporter barrel with an excellent bore. The metal surfaces on this superb rifle retain about 99% lovely quality blue. The frame and lever show loose, tasteful, flawlessly executed scroll engraving. The gun has been stocked by none less than Monty Kennedy himself in a lovely Circassian walnut in the classic style. The forend features dual checkered panels, a contrasting rosewood tip and a diamond-shaped blued steel forend screw escutcheon. The butt has no cheekrest, and features the same borderless, flawlessly executed checkered panels, and has a blued steel pistolgrip cap with a smooth Niedner style crescent buttplate. Wood rates excellent with perhaps a tiny ding or two. The barrel features an engraved swivel band, the toeline features a projection-less, screwless swivel base. The gun wears a hooded, barrel band sporting front ramp and a Lyman number 103 fully adjustable tang sight. Additionally the barrel is drilled and tapped for steel target bases which support J.W. Fecker rings which hold a Fecker 6X target scope (sn# 2320) with crosshair reticle and excellent optics. The gun is equipped with a single set trigger which functions flawlessly. A lovely, usable, and tasteful gun which is a testament to the gunmaker's skill. (2045-13) (4000/6000) SOLD FOR $4887.50
