Lovely Custom Engraved Winchester Model 42 Slide Action Shotgun

serial #62478, .410 bore, 26" ventilated rib barrel, choked modified, with an excellent bore. Metal surfaces on this lovely shotgun retain about 99% top-quality hot immersion blue finish. The ventilated rib is from Simmons Gun Specialties, and continues rearward onto the receiver. The frame flats feature the highest quality scroll engraving and game scenes, with a thin gold inlaid border. Gold inlaid dogs and quail are depicted on both sides of the frame. The serial number on barrel and frame are both inlaid in gold. The gun is stocked straight in the English style in a superb grade of American black walnut showing absolutely stunning figure in both forend and butt. The butt features a wraparound, bordered checkering pattern while the forend has dual checkered panels; it is extended semi-beavertail style.
