serial #38877, 41 Colt, 5" barrel with an excellent bore. The metal surfaces on this etched panel revolver retain about 97% original nickel, the loss due to barrel fade and some minor sharp edge wear. There are a few very minor, very sparsely scattered specks of surface oxidation staining, they are unobtrusive. Trigger and hammer spine retain nice fire temper blue as do most of the screws, there is minor staining on the hammer "whites". The checkered hard rubber Rampant Colt grips rate excellent. Times and locks up perfectly, overall a very nice looking antique Thunderer manufactured in 1882. (1996-26) {ANTIQUE} (2000/3000) |
