Custom Unlimited Class Benchrest Railgun with Remington 700 Action

serial #148454, .30 Cal. centerfire (appears to be .308 Win Match), 28" stainless target barrel with an excellent bore. This rifle illustrates what may be considered the final step in the progression to the heavy-duty rail guns that we see today. This "gun" features a 30" X 2 1/2" X 5" laminated walnut block onto which a heavy-duty barrel clamp is mounted. The bottom of this "rifle" is fitted with inletted steel round-stock of two different diameters for use with an adjustable mechanical benchrest. The Remington 700 action and the steel barrel blocks as well as the scope rail retain about 99% hot immersion blue. The barreled action is equipped with a Canjar single set trigger. The base block itself features two sets of mounting holes should you wish to mount the clamping block further forward. As with any rifle of unknown caliber, a competent gunsmith determination of caliber and headspace check is mandatory before using this rifle. Overall weight is 51 pounds (extra shipping).
