Custom Unlimited Class Benchrest Target Rifle by R. W. Hart

serial #101, .22 caliber centerfire (appears to be 223 Rem), 30" heavy stainless barrel with an excellent bore. Gun features a heavy Hart No.5 sleeve-style action, bolt appears to be from a Remington 722 rifle, with lengthened handle. Trigger housing is Remington 700 style trigger, with special modifications by Hart, which give a first-class, fully adjustable, target trigger pull. There is no provision for a safety. The stock is a generous walnut laminate, which features four bedding screws. The stock rates about excellent overall with only a couple minor dings and dents, the forend and bottom of butt are equipped with inletted steel rod-stock for solid mounting in a V-block style mechanical rest. The heavy action is drilled and tapped for steel target blocks, two of which are present. Likely made by Hart around 1965. As with any rifle of unknown caliber, a competent gunsmith determination of caliber and headspace check is mandatory before using this rifle. Overall weight 25 lbs. (extra shipping).
