Remington Rolling Block Long-Range "Creedmoor" Rifle

serial number 6509, 44S 2 7/16, 34" part round part octagon barrel with a bright excellent bore. This rifle remains in very nice condition. The barrel retains about 70% evenly thinning original blue finish which is blending with a pleasing smooth brown patina. The action retains over 90% of its original color casehardened finish which has mellowed over time but remains quite pleasing to the eye. Hammer and breechblock retain 85% of their original bright blue finish. The checkered pistol grip buttstock and iron tipped forend rate excellent with a little added light finish. Rifle is equipped with a windgauge front sight with spirit level, no rear seat and original long-range vernier tang peep sight. The original steel shotgun buttplate bears a pleasing gray patina.
