serial #124629, 50 Express, 26" round barrel with a good but evenly pitted bore. The metal surfaces on this British proofed 1901 manufactured rifle are mostly a brownish gray patina with many scattered specks of fine light pitting (mostly located on the barrel) and perhaps 40% thinning non-original blue finish remaining. The nicely refinished straight grip walnut buttstock and forend rate very good with scattered dings and handling marks. This rifle is equipped with a half length magazine tube, express style rear sight, and smooth steel shotgun buttplate. An affordable 86 in a highly desirable caliber.
