US 1861 Pattern Cartridge Box and Waist Belt

This is an unmarked box which has a dried but intact cover flap with a cleaned, die struck oval "US" plate. The interior of the box has some minor flaking to both the inner flap and accessory pocket, and the closure tab is intact. The tin insert has a dull gray patina with light rust starting to form. The back of the box has crazing on the belt loops while the belt itself has heavily flaked but intact bridle leather. The oval "US" belt plate has also been cleaned and now has a bright yellow patina. This is a good-very good belt and cartridge box rig overall and would make a nice addition to any collection.
