serial # 12883, 44 caliber percussion, 8" barrel with an about very good bore. Metal surfaces are an overall deep brown and gray patina, with minor and moderate pitting over their entire surface. Triggerguard is a dull yellow patina. The barrel address is mostly legible, there is no cylinder scene left. Gun exhibits numerous inspectors markings but no legible US markings. Mechanically gun indexes and locks up. The walnut grip rates very good plus to near excellent and is likely a very good quality replacement. Frame is cut for shoulder stock and is a four-screw style. There are a couple minor impact marks on the right-hand side of the barrel. The wedge is missing. Overall a well used 1860, that likely went through the war only to see hard frontier use. (1958-22) {ANTIQUE} (1000/1200) SOLD FOR $1265.00
