serial #35673, 16 ga. X 8 x 57 JR, 24 1/2" barrels. Shotgun barrels are choked about improved mod and full with bright excellent bores, rifle barrel rates bright excellent as well. The barrels are maker marked on their top rib, and are dated February 1940. Barrels and frame exhibit eagle over "N" proof. Barrels retain about 98%-99% original blue. The frame shows a nice pleasing pewter patina and is overall nicely engraved with foliate scroll and very good quality game scenes. Stock is checkered pistol grip style with a small rounded cheekpiece on the left side, forend is splinter style. All wood rates about excellent. The gun is equipped with dual triggers, the front being a single set; the rifle barrel selector also actuates the rifle sight on the rib. Safety is side mounted Greener crossbolt style. Length of pull to the checkered horn buttplate is 14 1/8". Gun comes equipped with factory swivels and a lovely quality leather and canvas European sling.
