serial #10701, 32-40 Win, 26" part octagon part round barrel with an excellent bore. Barrel shows about 98% good-quality reblued finish. The frame is an overall lightly cleaned bright pewter patina. The smooth splinter forend with pewter-colored forend tip rates about excellent, the straight grip buttstock is fitted with a Swiss style buttplate and rates excellent, showing two small chips at the heel edge of the buttplate. The rear sight seat wears a Winchester style semi-Buckhorn sporting sight, the front has been replaced with a globe style sight with replaceable inserts and spirit level, the rear sight wears a modern midrange vernier tang sight which is adjustable for windage and elevation. A custom finger loop has been fitted to the rear of the trigger guard; it is static, however it makes the gun appear as though it is lever actuated. It is very well made and has been blued.
