about .50 caliber percussion, 1 3/4" round barrels with very good plus bores. The metal surfaces on this iron framed pistol are overall a very pleasing pewter and brown patina. The frame and swivel breech area, as well as the hammer are nicely geometric and flowing scroll engraved. The left side of the frame is maker marked "W & J Rigby" while the right side is marked "Dublin". The gun features a folding trigger which pops down neatly when the hammer is cocked. Mechanically the gun functions flawlessly and the barrels swivel well. The English walnut bag shaped handle rates excellent with lots of original varnish, and some minor wear to the checkering. There are the few overall dings and dents one would expect from the years, there is a squarish German silver monogram plate to the rear of the tang, it is un-engraved, there is a round oval monogram plate on the butt, it too is clean. This is really a lovely little pocket pistol, it was, and still is a high-quality little hideout gun from a respected maker. (1951-5) {ANTIQUE} (1500/2000) SOLD FOR $2070.00
