Early Stevens Model 52 Schuetzen Jr. Rifle on 44 1/2 Action

serial #551, .28-30, 30" part round part octagon barrel with a bright excellent bore. This is a lovely, completely honest Stevens rifle. The action features nice factory floral scroll engraving and rifle is equipped with adjustable double set triggers and full loop lever. The barrel retains about 95% original blue finish with globe front sight and no rear seat. The action is a mix of smooth brown patina and faded original case color and has a pleasing appearance. The checkered walnut pistol grip buttstock and forend feature fancy fleur-de-lis checkering and a nice, very finely checkered panel on base of pistol grip. The stock features a lovely cheekpiece and iron Schuetzen buttplate. Stocks retain 95% original finish with just light handling marks and one notable scuff on rear edge of cheekpiece. Rifle is equipped with a windage adjustable midrange vernier tang peep sight. Breech block, hammer and tang sight all retain about 95% original blue.
