serial #341502, 25-20 W.C.F., 24" octagon barrel with a good but pitted bore. The barrel and magazine tube retain about 85% original blue finish with scattered specks of older rust. The receiver on this 1906 manufactured rifle bears a brown patina with similar specks of rust and perhaps 30% thinning original blue finish remaining. The hammer and lever retain strong traces of original case colors. The walnut buttstock and forend rate very good to near excellent with light dings and handling marks. The front sight blade is a period homemade replacement and a couple screws have slightly misshapen heads. The trigger has been nicely period checkered.
