serial #642272, 300 Sav., 24" barrel with a bright excellent bore. This early 1950s manufactured rifle is in as new condition still retaining some of the factory metal preservative. This rifle was likely manufactured in 1952 or 53 and includes its original two piece cardboard box. The metal surfaces retain all of their original blue finish. The lever is case colored and the breechblock is in the white without even a hint of staining or discoloration. The capped and checkered pistol grip walnut buttstock and forend rate excellent without a single mark or blemish present. A classic Savage rifle in collector grade condition.
