58 Caliber, 40" barrel with a bright bore having a dark ring about 8" from the muzzle. This musket has dark gray patina along the barrel which has brown mottling along the entire length, heaviest towards the breech with some light pitting around the bolster and nipple. The breech stamps are faint but still legible and the dark plum colored lock has still clear eagle, "E. ROBINSON/NEW YORK", and "1864" markings. The stock has a nice, military oil finish added over light marks and bruises as well as a few very small chips on the edges of the ramrod channel. The stock cartouche can still be seen opposite the lock. This is a very good, late war musket overall. (1958-147) {ANTIQUE} (1000/2000) SOLD FOR $1150.00
