serial #29081, 12ga., 30" barrels choked full and full with about excellent bores showing remnants of some very very minor pitting. Barrels retain about 70% fading original blue. The barrels are marked "Von Lengerke and Detmold" and "U.S. Agents New York" on the right and left barrels respectively. The frame and false sidelocks show lovely quality fine scroll and floral engraving. There is a minor repair to the triggerguard's tang. The English walnut, pistolgrip buttstock rates very good showing some oil soaking and minor dings and dents with quite a bit of light finish. The gun wears an older Jostam recoil pad which has collapsed with age and should be replaced. The splinter style forend is worn nearly smooth and rates about good showing a three-inch chip at its left leading edge. The bottom lug at the hinge pin shows some evidence of minor peening. There is slight vertical and lateral play barrels-to-frame. (2027-29) {C&R} [Stan Terhune Collection] (1000/1500)
