serial #22686, 12ga. (2 1/2"), 26" barrels choked I.C. and full with very good plus bores showing remnants of a few minor pits and perhaps an old minor ding or two that was professionally raised. Barrels show a fading damascus pattern over 80% of their length, the balance worn to a smooth gray patina with perhaps a small handful of scattered very light oxidation stains. Barrels are marked with New York retailer's name "Von Lengerke and Detmold". Frame and lockplates are a smooth bright pewter color and are covered nearly overall with fine tight scroll, the fences feature sideclips and nice foliate engraving. Pistolgrip buttstock and splinter style forend show an excellent quality refinish, the forend is overall checkered, it was neatly professionally chased. Buttstock is French walnut and shows some very nice grain, the checkering on it was nicely chased as well. Both checkering patterns are very fine. Length of pull to the grooved bone buttplate is 14 1/4" with drops of 1 3/4" and 3". (2027-203) {C&R} [Stan Terhune Collection] (1000/1500)
