serial #80553, 405 WCF, 24" round barrel with a bright excellent bore. This is a nice honest rifle. The barrel retains 80% evenly thinning original blue finish. The action is mostly a smooth gray patina with a few small patches of light pitting present and with traces of original finish in protected areas. The magazine and lever retain about 70% original blue with the balance bearing a smooth gray patina. The plain walnut stocks rate very good plus with a little added light finish which is showing some crazing on forend. The bottom of the buttstock shows a filled hole where a sling swivel was once present. Rifle features a beaded blade front and semi-buckhorn rear sight. (2076-6) {C&R} (2500/3500) SOLD FOR $2875.00 |
