serial #S317739, 44 Magnum, 8 1/4" barrel with an excellent bore. This revolver features deep foliate scroll running up either side of the barrel continuing onto the cylinder and around the inlaid game on the frame. A band of gold inlaid punch dots runs along the barrel rib and onto the frame. Frame features gold inlaid game animals with a puma head and a grizzly visible on the left, the right shows a paired buck and doe as well as a rams head. Inlaid gold bands are found around the muzzle and cylinder, and each side of the frame along the rear edge. The metal surfaces retain 99% quality blue finish, the hammer and trigger have a fine case color finish. The target style grips have been custom shaped at the time of the engraving and are in near excellent condition overall. Revolver comes in a hardwood display case. A nicely engraved Smith.
