serial #90189, 45-90 WCF, 26" round barrel with button magazine and a bright excellent bore. This is a very fine '86 rifle with special order features including shorter than standard magazine and smooth steel shotgun buttplate. The barrel retains about 80% evenly thinning original blue finish which is blending with a smooth brown patina. The action retains about 90% original case colored finish which remains quite strong but has softened slightly over time. The plain walnut stocks rate excellent plus with 95% original finish remaining and very few handling marks. Forend cap screws are somewhat buggered. Rifle is equipped with a beaded blade front and standard buckhorn rear sporting sights. Factory records confirm the configuration of this rifle and show a ship date of August 15, 1894.
