serial #495682, 25-20 W.C.F., 24" part round part octagon barrel with a good bore having a few spots of pitting. The barrel and full length magazine tube retain about 75% thinning original blue finish blending with a brown patina. The receiver on this 1909 manufactured rifle retains 45% original blue finish with the balance bearing a brownish gray patina. The hammer and lever are grayish light brown in color with faint traces of mellowed original case colors. Straight grip walnut buttstock and forend rate very good with many light dings, handling marks, and an added coat of linseed oil. (2011-47) {C & R} [Dom Morin Collection] (1200/1600) |
