serial # 131765, 40-82 W.C.F., 26" octagon barrel with a bright near excellent bore. This 1903 manufactured rifle shows a scattered thin film of older rust and very faint specks of pitting which have been properly cleaned. The oxidation on this rifle was unquestionably due to neglect. The metal surfaces show a dark brown color mixed with 30-35% original blue finish. The straight grip walnut buttstock and forend rate very good with light dings and handling marks. The buttstock retains nearly 50% of its original varnish.
