serial #86038, 22 Hornet, 24 " barrel with an excellent bore. Metal surfaces retain about 96% original blue finish, the bulk of the loss being the bolt handle and high edge wear. The checkered walnut classic sporter style stock rates near excellent with only minor dings and usage marks, there is a small synthetic wood repair below the factory receiver sight holes. The factory rear sight has been replaced with a Marbles full buckhorn, the sling swivels are 1 1/4". Overall a very clean 1948 manufactured Hornet that you needn't be afraid to use.
